Niccolo Would Like a Word

A suspenseful novel set in Provincetown, centered on psychological unraveling, revenge, and female friendship, with a lesbian romantic subplot. Shannon, an artist with a chaotic past, feels blunted by years of psychiatric medications, so she switches to magic mushrooms instead. Convinced that her cat Niccolo is urging her to get revenge on a sexual predator, she goes to Provincetown in pursuit, where she upends the life of her reclusive friend Allison. Neither woman has any idea of the crises both will face as Shannon’s grip on reality grows more tenuous and Niccolo coaxes her ever closer to committing murder.
